Danielle and Hubert specialize in breeding angora rabbits in Drône, in the South of France. Prized for their soft, downy coats, these amazing animals are carefully selected to produce wool samples in a variety of natural colours. Bernard is our goat-man. He loves the critters. His herd roams freely in the open air of alpine pastures, and especially enjoys eating the brushwood. The nanny goat produces a particularly beautiful, silky white fleece. Once mistaken for a madman, our emeritus breeder can now boast of having bred goats with a fleece of superior quality. In their remote village, Antoine and Bernadette are the custodians of a herd of Alpacas. Close cousins of the camel, these animals are originally from Chile. But they’ve acclimatized perfectly to the grassy uplands of the ‘Hautes-Alpes’ where their diet of grass and brush seems to have cooled their fiery temperament.
